My mother will never get over finding out Alistair Appleton is gay. If 88 year olds have fantasy crushes, he was hers.

He's gay? Noooo! I've always harboured a secret crush on AA. Turns out my dh must have a much better gaydar than me then, because I remember him saying that the bracelets Appleton was wearing were 'women-repellents'!

I remember Alistair from The House Doctor years ago - he was good on that as well. Who was that presenter a bit like Alistair who presented property shows who died a few years back? Somebody Digby - now he was camp

Alistair Appleton is soooooooooo gay, how could you not know? Grin I love him, he's gorgeous and a lovely guy.
I also like Jules Hudson, but he could dial down the chuckling at every sentence.
I would like to know though, does anyone buy one of the houses they see?!

DH and I are convinced Alastair Appleton is a raging alcoholic, who goes through good and bad phases; sometimes sleeping rough in the sheds of the properties; sometimes scrubbing up and keeping off the booze Grin

Grin Countess - yes! Sometimes he looks super hot, a la Rock Hudson. Other times, he looks a bit unkempt and beardy.

I can never understand why Nicki (Pop Idol) Chapman and Aled (Songs of Praise) present it? Are they relocation experts then? Confused

AA is my fave too, soooo handsome and charming, sad for me that he is gay!
Don't mind aled,not for his looks though,can see his manboobs under his jumpers!
Denise Nurse is my least fave, too gushing and Nikki can look impatient!

Mine is Alistair he has gorgeous dimples, such a shame he's gay though :( I also like Jules and can tolerate Nicki Chapman, but Aled and Denise do my head in!!

Actually, DH's distant relatives went on it before I started watching it and before I'd met either of them. Or was that To Buy or Not To Buy they were on?

Yep, it was TBONTB - they had the lovely but now deceased Kristian Digby and some blonde woman who was his sidekick.

My favourite is Jules (is he sponsored by Crew and Babour???).

I too thought no one ever buys anything but I watched it the other day and 10 mins before the end Alistair revisited a couple who had bought one of the properties they viewed on the programme - nearly fell off the chair in shock!!!

Another vote for Alistair and Jules here. Both great presenters and should be on telly more IMO.
