Additional Information

HabboHoliday first came into operation on March 31st 2005, where it had previously been known as Habbo-Hood.com. It was a site created as a hobby, but later came to be one of the largest Official Australian Habbo Fansites to date. The site is owned by Daniel Sandherst, a 16 year old Sydney-sider from Australia whos ambitions came from website creation. Daniel said that "..the only thing I ever wanted to do was to inform people, but in a way in which people could personally become engaged with information I provide. Habbo gave me the opportunity and the experiences i've learned from dealing with others and having people come up to me in seek of answers has in whole been rewarding.."

HabboHoliday was formally hosted throughout the United States, however in February 2007 a new contract agreement between Daniel and Webcity Australia Pty Ltd was initiated. This change ensured that errors with the site would be kept at a minimal level. Direct phone support was also a major factor in ensuring consistency between the owner and users of the site.

It was not until October 10th 2005 where the ambitions and overal future of the site came crashing down. A fire which sparked the servers that Habbo-Hood were hosted on destroyed all information, and without a backup, the site vanished. However, it was not until November 12th 2005 where the site was declared 'back in action'. "I couldn't just let the site go down", Daniel said, "I needed to act quickly and have everything back into order".

Habbo-Hood was later taken over by Mapname.com, the domain host of Habbo-Hood. Nothing could have been done, and considering that taking legal actions would not prove worthy, the creation of HabboHoliday came into place on the 10th February 2006. This introduced the new colour scheme of 'blue and green' which are continually used throughout the site. The management team at HabboHoliday pay upward of $225USD per year to allow the site to remain online. This cost goes towards domain names (HabboHoliday.com / HabboHoliday.net / RareValues.net), hosting and radio.

Following closure of other former previous popular Habbo Australian fansites, including HabboParadise.com and TropicalHabbo.net, HabboHoliday was regarded as the most popular and widely known fansite for Habbo Australia users. Reaching peaks of over 2000 unique visitors per day, HabboHoliday proved successful in the target audience for which it was aiming to please.

HabboHoliday has expanded with the introduction of a Rare Values minisite (RareValues.net) - slowly becomming popular amongst most users. The release of a 100 listener radio is also HabboHoliday's main key to generating success and visitors - with its aim to be online and operational 24 hours a day!

The dedication of the owner as well as the large support from the Habbo community was the major factor for HabboHoliday's long existance.

HabboHoliday today is still online, however due to commitments which are not of control to the owners, productivity has slowly diminished.
